FIELDS OF PRACTICES (1) Consultations: The office provides Sharia consultations on jurisprudence and jurisdiction matters, as well as legal consultation on commercial, administrative, financial, criminal, labor, corporate laws and foreign investment regulations matters. (2) Contracts and Agreements Preparing and adapting/tailoring all types of contracts and agreements including various categories of companies' contracts and trading agencies and distribution agreements. Contracts are made in compliance with the valid Saudi laws, and the office follows up registration procedures and provides whatever amendment appendices required later on. (3) Commercial Cases: Pleading, defending and following up all types of commercial cases filed before the various competent authorities (i.e. legal and Sharia courts, commercial and banking courts). The office handles and follows up commercial cases dealing with checks, money drafts and bills, and payment orders. In addition, the office conducts studies, procedures, bylaws and administrative structures for companies and establishments, and proceeds with issuance, cancellation and amendment of commercial registrations, industrial licenses. (4) Labor & Employment Employee’ disputes with employers and vice versa. Handling labor cases in the courts, in addition to labor compensation and entitlements. (5) Intellectual Property Registration of trademarks, Patent Rights, Copyright, and Anti Counterfeiting. Advising clients on trade Marks, Patent Rights and Copyright matters, including litigation involving disputes and infringement cases. (6) Criminal Matters Cases resulting from police criminal claim in trade and commercial transactions. Involvement in road/traffic and building project construction accidents. Criminal cases resulting from crimes on board vessels, accidents on board vessels such as fire, crane collapse, loading/unloading accidents, stowage accidents, collisions in the territorial waters of KSA, etc. (7) Family Law Marriage, divorce, custody, distribution of deceased’s wealth, will and its related matters. (8) Banking & Finance Advising on bank finance documents, e.g., syndicate loans, issued by Islamic Banks with regard to ship finance, and construction finance. Action against debtors to bankers and creditors-both domestic and overseas. Handling of cases on behalf of individuals and companies against bankers. Bankers and/or customers’ dispute resulting from monetary transactions. Legal drafting of loan agreements mortgages pledges and various security instruments, hypothecation, lien and any other agreement concerning monetary transactions. (9) Collection Collecting debts on behalf of individuals, companies, establishments, businessmen, and banks, which are due by companies, establishments, individuals, government offices, or private agencies. These debts are collected and settled in line with the applied regulations. (10) Insurance: The office handles all types of claims or cases related to insurance disputes like laborers compensations, medical insurance documents, fire occupational negligence, goods in transit transporters’ liability NVOC carriers’ liability third party liability, hull and machinery insurance, and crew liabilities insurance. (11) Arbitration Cases: Al Rakad office has a vast experience in commercial arbitration cases inside and outside the Kingdom. Our staff is efficiently and practically qualified due to its experience as an arbitrator and a member in the Arab International Commercial Arbitration Union, and a Certified arbitrator at GCC Commercial Arbitration Center.
